Chimney Rock Marina and Restaurant is located on beautiful Lake Herrington in Mercer County, KY near Burgin and Harrodsburg just 30 minutes south of Lexington. 


Herrrington Lake was formed by the damming of the Dix River  in 1925  by    Kentucky Utilities in order to create hydroelectric power. With a maximum depth of 249 feet, Herrington Lake is the deepest lake in Kentucky with a length of 35 miles and up to 1200 feet wide that covers 2, 335 acres and has 325 miles of shoreline.    The estimated capacity of the lake is 175,000,000,000 US gallons.       


The lake is located in Mercer, Garrard and Boyle counties and contains many species of fish including bluegill, crappie, catfish, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, and white bass.
